Lillian was concerned about seeing cars clearly when she wanted to change lanes on the motorway. Quick checks revealed some stress around visual processing.
After some specific activities her eyes were able to track smoothly in different directions and she felt that she was comfortably absorbing visual information and able to act accordingly.
Private sessions are available in Putney, south west London and in other locations by arrangement.
In an individual consultation adults and children learn how to engage the body and brain in order to defuse anxiety, increase energy and enhance performance. Progress is often most noticeable within the context of a personal goal.
Noticing the effort opens the door to ease
The personal challenges represented by the goal are explored and addressed through a ‘before and after’ process called a balance. We benchmark, follow a ‘menu’ of movement and then benchmark again.
Here are some goals chosen by children, teenagers and adults:

Whilst verbal goals act as a clear focus for a session they are not always necessary, especially with young children. Sometimes the priority is simply to help a child gain a stronger sense of his or her physical body and the space around. This can help with listening, focus, coordination and social interaction.
The physiology of learning
Our physiology underpins our ability to organise, focus and motivate ourselves. This applies to the child who stumbles over words on a page and to the manager who hates writing reports.
Difficulties with reading and writing, concentration and balance can often be improved through specific movements that reinforce both gross and fine motor skills.
The ‘menu’ may include activities that link back to the reflex movements that babies make automatically. Such techniques are designed to stimulate new pathways of communication within the brain and body.
